Redevelopment of a brass foundry on Scotland Street, Sheffield into a 437 bed, new build, premium student accommodation property for Crosslane Group.
Create were appointed to develop the scheme following the extensive work with the design team looking at alternative build methods and value engineering opportunities to achieve the client’s desired development budget.
The site, located in the St. Vincent’s Quarter of Sheffield, has had the existing buildings demolished, archaeological investigation works and site remediation carried out to make way for a modern, innovative student accommodation development. The new development will comprise of three residential blocks of between 6 and 8 stories with a central communal landscaped courtyard. The high specification brick and glass façade will house 144 studios and 293 en-suite cluster bedrooms along with a substantial communal hub area including common rooms, private study area, meeting rooms and gym. The property was completed on time and in budget, ready for the 2017/18 academic year. Find out more here.
